Subcritical Hydrothermal Co-Liquefaction of Process Rejects at a Wastepaper-Based Paper Mill with Waste Soybean Oil

This study used the subcritical hydrothermal liquefaction technique (SHLT) in co- of process rejects at a wastepaper-based paper mill (PRWPM) and waste soybean oil (WSO) for production biofuels bio-char material. PRWPM emits complicated composed cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, plastic from sealing film. The is produced recycled plant located central Taiwan. source WSO rejected organic cooking factory north are suitable use as fuels, but due to their high oxygen content, commercial liquid fuels not frequent, thus making deoxygenation hydrogenation necessary. temperature pressure SHLT were set 523–643 K 40–250 bar, respectively. experimental conditions included solvent ratios oil–water, temperature, reaction time, PRWPM. analysis results contained approximated components, heating values, elements, surface features, simulated distillations, product compositions, recovery yields. HHV occurred an oil–water ratio 75:25, with value 38.04 MJ kg?1. At 25:75, oil-phase SHTL has highest 42.02 Higher content implies lower product. distillation result higher alcohol alkanes obtained 25:75 better than other ratios. Here, carbon number between C8–C36. conversion rate rises increase ratio. It proved that blending water can significantly enhance quality liquefied Therefore, solid biomass wastes co-liquefaction produce gas under quite feasible.
